Honoured at the 2022 Chromatic Awards
Thanks to the Chromatic Awards for the honours in this year’s competition.
I was delighted to find out that my image Room with a View (2022) received third place in the Cityscapes category. My image After the Rain (2021) received an honourable mention in the Fine Art category.
I made Room with a View at the top of the ancient Porte Cailhau, a gate guarding the city of Bordeaux in south-west France. From the window we look across the rooftops of the old town, and with them a split second opportunity to see a woman framed, smoking in another window. Winning third place in the category means the image will also be published in the Chromatic Awards Annual Book.
After the Rain captures an array of fallen blossoms resting on a car after a summer rainstorm in Vancouver.
The Chromatic Awards is an international competition that celebrates colour photography and is in its sixth year.
