Lucie Foundation finalist in Heritage open call

I’m very happy and honestly more than a little surprised to learn that I've been named a finalist in the respected Lucie Foundation's Heritage open call. 

This call asked photographers to explore how generations past shape our present and future - and our art.

A Slow Speed from my photo series The Garden of Maggie Victoria was selected in the Family/Community category. In my series, A Slow Speed marks the start of my great-grandmother's decline into the illness that would quickly take her life. It's really fulfilling to me that this story of loss, forgetting and remembrance has been recognized.

Congratulations to the winners and finalists on their incredible work and their skillful telling of the stories behind them. Heartfelt thanks also the judges for their consideration.
