September 2025 issue of WE ARE Magazine out now
I'm proud to launch the latest issue of WE ARE Magazine from the RPS Women in Photography Group.
It features the work of more than 20 talented women photographers from the UK and around the world, tackling the climate crisis, chronic pain, motherhood, fan culture, the art market, true crime and more besides. I'm honoured that they shared their stories with us.
The magazine is created entirely by volunteers with the goal of celebrating and spreading awareness of female and female-identifying photographers. A heartfelt thank you to all of our wonderful photographers and writers, and the editorial team. It's a labour of love, and I'm delighted to be involved as editor.
The issue includes updates on important initiatives from the WIP group, including the 40% Project, which aims to create portraits of all 264 women now sitting in the House of Commons. You’ll also find our regular collaborative features: Favourite Photobooks, which shines a light on female-authored publications, and One Thing I Know, sharing insights gleaned from photographic practice.
Do check out the September 2025 issue of WE ARE Magazine. It is free to read and enjoy on Issuu.
